If something I say sounds insane it's usually a shitpost, but if you wanna be sure u can ask (It will give me feedback to add notation so that I can be sure it's not misunderstood)

I can be weird and lewd here, I usually try to CW stuff correctly, mostly succeed but viewer discretion is advised, I am not strictly mDNI but I def would require not interacting with lewd posts, and I will block if I realize that this is happening.
Also lewd stuff I post are usually jokes, I am in a monogamous relationship so do NOT try to unironically hit on me. Ironically is fine if I know you and its all for jokes.

Few statements that I believe so if u dont believe you might not like me and I might not like you:
- Trans rights (I mean ALL trans rights. Transfem, masc, enby, anything else too, you are all valid)
- Gay rights
- Queer rights
- MAPs aren't queers. Pedophilia is not a sexuality.
- Privacy matters

@Brahvim that is true yeagh
I just kinda feel that, at least from what I've seen, that some think that anarchism is somewhat resilient to those, while it might be one that is potentially the most vulnerable to this
at least in my opinion idk why i talk about politics tbh i regret making that post cus i feel i will have to talk about it i might just mute it ngl

ooo my hot political take Anarchism wouldn't work.
It just wouldn't.
At least not in the long term.
It would eventually evolve into a different system.
I am not saying it would get worse or better. It could go either way.
And it does not matter it would be anarcho communism, or capitalism (tho ancap would def be the worse one), or whatever.

Anarchism is simply not stable for society. It would break down either though malice, or through pure incident.

Jo Freeman spoke of similar topic since 1970s, in her article called "The Tyranny of Structurelessness", and while the article was specifically about issues with feminist movement lacking structure, I think it applies quite well to societal structures as well.
She wrote about how, almost always, eventually a system with no structure, will create some form of structure regardless of intentions of people living in the system. Very good read imo.

Ok bye don't kill me

re: transphobia discussion, hot take @puppygirlhornypost2 @gavi its basically the same shit parents do with the "Mourning death of my son"
But in this case its even more ridiculous cus they are mourning end of friendship they knew because... transfem was a bit annoying and they didn't care enough to talk about it with her so they just can complain about it and also they now have additional benefit of being able to cut off a trans person from their life yippee!!!
I can get internet points by complaining about transfems, AND I get to cut her off from my life? Sign me up! (/satire)

re: transphobia discussion, hot take @puppygirlhornypost2 @gavi "my friend used to be cool but now shes not cool imo so instead of talking about it with her that I don't rly care about this stuff i will blame transition for making me oh so tragically lose my dear friend whom i loved (as a dude) and vent about it on reddit"
"omg yeah i had the same experience i used to like my friend but then she transitioned and now i kinda hate it cus she asks about tips thats so annoying why does she think she belongs to us real women"

I fucking hate reddit oh my goddd
Like they can't even consider that, perhaps you don't vibe anymore with someone and thats like, fine?
Instead of blaming it on transitioning and acting like it's "insulting".

@yassie_j Oh yeah
Ngl I heard about that but I kinda didn't connect it until now lol
Tho idk those are very similar but I think mine is a bit distinct in a way, because I imagine it being not rly branching? Or rather branching but where the act of moving back in time itself is kinda, cementing the old timeline where it still happened for the observer moving back in time?
Tho ig that also fits under the branching timeline genre

I love ordering something and see that it was sent using a parcel locker and it has NOT been picked up yet
so it means my new electronic device now will have to sit in a metal box for couple of days, with forecasts saying there are gonna be thunders all around the country
Maybe silly to worry about that but I worry about that

@yassie_j I like the concept of moving back in time where it does not affect your past, at all, because moving in time is more like just moving in space.
So like, it keeps time continuous, you moving into the past is still continuous, it does not impact your own past because it happened for you already.
Idk how to explain it exactly and there probably is something like that exactly, but lets say that you move back in time and kill your parents before ur born or something, it doesn't impact you, it impacts someone, but that someone isn't you. It can impact everyone around you, they might not know you etc, because they don't have that continuity you are living in. For everyone time is continuous, stuff just happens, but since you also experience continuous time, whatever you do in the past is STILL in your current/future.
I think it would be kinda cool to explore ethical side of this as well. You can move back in time, go to your room, steal your own shit and sell it, infinite money glitch, it's not you just some other you, you can ignore that other you, what's stopping you? etc.
If anyone knows some stuff like this please do tell I would love to explore it

@laila Ooo
I knew about RFC but it seemed to me kinda inactive for a while, I didn't see this blog post tho thanks!
Tho I still think that having some form of a separate public mirror would be valuable
Currently there is this one centralized crates.io, and other than that there are just private registries.
Ofc there are other options, and registries aren't even technically necessary since cargo can use git repos themselves, but I feel something like this could help with adopting community to idea of switching from relying on a central authority

Looking for opinions (mostly from people fond of Rust), boosts appreciated

Would you theoretically be interested in a hosted, public registry? Essentially alternative to crates.io, but without depending on Github?

I was thinking about hosting something like that, where anyone could host their projects publically, but without need to use github account to register for it (and also just have some sort of mirror so that there's some alternative to centralized crates)

(Yes I am aware you can run your own registry, that's not the point, but if you think it kinda ruins the idea itself pls do tell if you want, I don't think so but maybe someone can think of a good reason)
