@0x4d6165 Yeah that's fair tbh, perhaps I had bit different idea of what arrogant means, in my head (and how I saw it used around me) I seen it more like, a person is arrogant as a character trait rather than the action. Action might be arrogant that's fair. What I had an issue with was just the fact that, they might have a reason to being like that, which should be explained that it's not right and is also being as bad as people that act like this towards atheists. Which is why it icked me a bit to just say "you're arrogant" based on my assumption of what that meant. Sorry my brain is just foggy today I shouldn't've replied to serious stuff today, in general I agree with you and yes being asshole to religious people is bad I never disagreed on that
@0x4d6165 I agree that acting this way is asshole behaviour, but I wouldn't dismiss this as just arrogance. I was like that when I was younger, it was stupid ofc, but it wasn't because I felt superior or better than anyone, it was because at the time a lot of religious people I personally met acted that exact way towards me, so I just began thinking "Well they treat me this way, why shouldn't I do the same?" In the end ofc it was stupid and I was sometimes bit of an asshole, but being called arrogant and feeling superior was one of the things that also made me mad, because it was feeding into the feeling of "They feel superior all the fucking time, but suddenly I am the bad one?" So while yes, it has to be pointed out, it is bad, I think dismissing it as just sign of arrogance is a bit similar to the "you don't know why they believe what they believe" and it just furthers the division.
Unless they are active on r/atheism or whatever then there is no hope

since migration instance got noticably slower, but rnh not to the point that its unusable so its fine and its paid for 6 months so its nice i dont have to think about it for now
