If something I say sounds insane it's usually a shitpost, but if you wanna be sure u can ask (It will give me feedback to add notation so that I can be sure it's not misunderstood)

I can be weird and lewd here, I usually try to CW stuff correctly, mostly succeed but viewer discretion is advised, I am not strictly mDNI but I def would require not interacting with lewd posts, and I will block if I realize that this is happening.

this is a shitpost about an insanely nuanced issue I have with people having disagreements anywhere because the x here represents both how people see themselves and also how they might be misrepresented by others

u might be fighting for the one doing this
u might be enemies of someone thats against this tactic

I feel if service is rly focused on making their product secure (like password manager should), then they should not make dumbshit easier
It's like an commercial operating system would go "hey so we saw that some of our users rly like to remove critical files, so we decided to make it easier and allow it by adding our new "break my shit" button! But warning, do not use it if u dont know what you are doing 🥰"
and in the end, some tutorial would still say to use that button for less experienced users because in reality a lot of those don't read the docs.
but by that point they can just go "hey... we warned you" and say its not their fault

If you require people to explicitly allow certain credentials which model can access, via .env or whatnot, it gives more opportunities for them to think what model might actually need, instead of just "oh you want to use pm to get credentials? sure just log in 🥰"
I mean sure people will use those in a wrong way regardless, but I feel making it easier to misuse it is not the way to fix this

I agree in general yeah tbh idk why was I even trying to protect AI here (well, more like devs using it ig).
I mean I still think it def depends to some degree on how its reviewed and handled, but yeah it's def more error prone and in the end trying to catch those subtle issues would be more effort than just writing features by hand.
