I respect the hell out of the "patches over complaints" sentiment as long as the software actually WORKS!!! If it actively doesn't work and it's the default/dependent package on the software I actually want to run... Idk what to say. Mama told me if I've got nothing nice to say then don't say anything at all
I understand that it may not be someone's fault that their code is now important to the world at large and that they didn't ask for that, but at the same time it's absent-fatherism of broken code that solidifies my desire to write depedency-less C for the rest of my days
